Weston's 1st Birthday Party

We had a wonderful day celebrating Weston's first year with friends and family today.  In attendance were: Ya-Ya; Mima and Pop; Brandon, Elizabeth, Carter, Clarey, and Campbell; Papa Bob and Uncle Chris; Uncle Brandon and Noah; and The Leatherwood Family.  Weston had so many adoring cousins to play with and he was spoiled with so many new toys and presents.  He enjoyed his smash cake much more this time and we had to finally cut him off once he ate half the cake (Jackson helped).  So many family members made long drives to be there for Weston and he is one lucky little guy to be this loved.  

 We gave Weston a Pottery Barn Chair with his name monogrammed on it.

 I finally got to decorate the pergola and I loved how it turned out!

 All the cousins played hard on the slip n slide and the pool.

 While the grown ups stayed cool in the shade and under the fan.

 Miss Sutton Leatherwood came to play and eat cake too.

 Mimi gave Weston his first Baylor colored hat with his name on it and we all just loved it!

 Mima and Pop gave him an awesome rocking horse that he loved riding.

Let Freedom Ring

They had to match a few times today.

We had such a fun time at the Leatherwood's party, but I didn't take any  other pictures. Jackson got to experience his first sparklers and Weston got to swim in a pool for the first time.

Weston is 1

Sleeping- He stopped his morning nap at exactly 12 months. That makes this momma very sad! He still sleeps 12 hours every night so I cannot complain. 

Eating- He is drinking whole milk with a splash of chocolate powder warmed up 4x's a day along with lots of table food, usually off our plates. Started eating Cheerios instead of Puffs. He is using a straw Sippy cup for water like a pro.

Activity- He started waving,  2 days before his 1st birthday he woke up clapping and he was so proud of himself! 

Health/Wellness- He has 4 top teeth coming in this month with a lot of drooling and a bit of fussiness. 

Mobility- He can stand on his own for several seconds but is not taking steps yet.

Language- He still only says "Da-da" regularly but when he's real sad I will get a "Ma-ma-ma"

Events/Outings- Lots of play dates and missed morning naps. 

Weight- 23 lbs- 75th%

Length- 31 inches (2ft 7in)- 88th%

Head- 47 3/4 cm- 90th%

1st steps- July 10th beach house Galveston 

Uncle Brandon was holding him and Weston started crying a lot so he put him on the floor and I bent down and he "ran" to me. 4-5 steps. It was so awesome that we made him do it again. So he can walk as long as he is running away from someone. Ha!

Happy Birthday Little Brother

Weston woke up to a birthday song and presents from Jackson.

We had a family lunch at a local Greek food restaurant.  He is clapping (his new trick) in this picture.
