Disney movie night

We had our first Disney Family Movie Night and we watched Dumbo.  Jackson even used his big boy chair, he only lasted about 10 minutes and went to bed early.  I even fell asleep in the 60 minute movie.  It was a wonderful 70th edition version of the old wonderful classic.  I am looking forward to many more movie nights!

We have a walker!

Jackson has just begun this week taking a few steps between Ryan and I, but today he took 3 steps on his own from the ottoman to the couch without and coaxing on my part.  He was so proud of himself! I will have to catch him on video soon!

Mom Ruth's Birthday

Jackson brought Mom Ruth a burger and strawberry cake from The Butcher Shop for her birthday lunch.  He also wanted to eat all her cake, she generously shared.  Jackson loved playing with her! We love Mom Ruth!

Fort Worth or bust!

This weekend we took off for Fort Worth to have a rare dinner with all my best girlfriends and their families.  Lyndsey is in Virginia for now so we take any opportunity we have to spend time together! I loved getting Ashley's baby, Felicity, who is no longer a baby together with Jackson as toddlers. She was not a fan of his, especially when he took her goldfish.

1st Tooth

Dad is so proud that Jackson just got his first tooth bud, it is sharp and he will bite you if you put your finger in there! Ryan even brushed his tooth with the tinniest toothbrush I have ever seen, so cute!

Baylor Game!

We  win the parents of the year award for taking Jackson to the Baylor vs. TCU game after he had 4 shots at his Dr. apt and no afternoon nap and it was 104 degrees outside.
We tried to keep him cool and calm but did not succeed.
Every time they scored or something good happened and people yelled he freaked out,
I know he is so sad, but isn't that the cutest face ever?
We did leave at half time and we might not be bringing him back for a while. Sic Em!

Where has this past year gone?

Oh baby boy I cannot begin to tell you how much I love you!

I love to tickle you and make you laugh and laugh

I love seeing your face light up when I am singing to you

I love teaching you to say and wave good-bye

I love our quite time reading together

I love seeing you being comforted by froggie

I love watching you sleep with your ankles crossed and your sweet hands clasped together by your face

I love your cheeks

I love that you love to jump and dance, you have rhythm in your soul

I love that you still are my toothless wonder

I love how you can make any sad moment so precious

I love how you rub my arm and shoulder when I am holding you

I love that you love your daddy and get so excited every time he walks in the door

I love that you have a special connection with Ya-Ya, you have brought her so much comfort during this past year

I love that you are so friendly and will let anyone hold you

You are the answer to my prayers and I am so blessed to be your mommy.
I love you to the moon and back Baby J.
