The 7 year itch? No way!!!

Today Ryan and I have reached 7 years of marriage.  I have heard that by 7 years some people get the "itch" to move on to something new and exciting in their lives/marriage. But those people must be crazy. I can't imagine doing life with anyone else but Ryan. All the seemingly boring and routine things of life become fun and a laugh with him.  I am so grateful that I have a partner to raise my boys with, who takes care of me and allows me the huge blessing of staying at home to raise Jackson and Weston. His loyalty and devotion to me and our family have only strengthened over these 7 years and mine to him.  It is always fun to look back at pictures of our wonderful wedding day but I am so much more looking forward to our future together and where this journey takes us!

This year we celebrated with a romantic dinner at The Republic over the weekend since our actual anniversary was on a Monday. The day of Ryan sent me amazing flowers, took me and the kids to lunch at T.Jins Chinese, and that evening we attended a couples MOPS dinner.

We love our cousins!

My kids are blessed with great cousins on both sides of the family and this weekend they got to have tons of fun with the Oates Clan.

Friday afternoon we went on Jackson's first fishing trip. He was into it for about 5 minutes and then he was ready for a nap, but if the big kids were doing it then he was going to do it!

Saturday we took the gang to the children's museum to work off some energy. I'm so glad they all adore each other and had a great day! That afternoon naps were had by all!

It's true... I'm 32!

Today was not the most relaxing of all my previous birthday's due to the fact that Jackson has been recovering from a horrible reaction to a drug allergy.  He had his first ear infection and took amoxicillian and 7 days later a rash began to show up and spread all over his body.  It progressed after 24 hours to cover his entirety and itched him terribly from his scalp to the bottom of his feet. He and I were miserable. But Ryan tried his best to show me a great birthday evening none the less.  My mother came in to watch the boys so he and I could go to dinner at Atami, a Japanese Steak House, then we came home for cake and presents.  I got a new James Avery Silver Stackable Ring, Pedicure/Manicure Gift Card, and a promise for new carpet in our house. You know you are an adult when you are super excited about home improvements for personal gifts! Maybe I'll get a do over celebration when everyone is feeling better again.

Weston's 8 month photos

We went back to one of our favorite placed to take pictures for Weston's 8 month photos, The George Bush Library.  It was unusually cold that day and Weston was not happy about that at all.  We got some great shots of a happy Jackson though.  The tricycle one is my favorite.
