Jackson got his first haircut today at Chrome Salon in College Station by Ashton. He was not particularly a fan of a strange lady touching his head. We sang to him, played music and gave him fun new things to hold to distract him. He just needed a little trim around the ears and the back of the neck.

Victory is mine!
Jackson finally accomplished his long time goal of getting into the doggy bed, he had a great laugh about it but was covered in dog hair for the rest of the day.

10 months
I think this last month flew by the fastest of them all so far. Jackson is still what Ryan and I like to call the "perfect baby". He is a joy, so happy and cooperative with whatever schedule we throw at him.
Sleeping: He is sleeping like a rock star! Usually from 8-8 with 2 naps during the day.
Eating: He still is eating 4 bottles 8 ounces each daily and pureed food solely but will take puffs from us without gagging on them now. He seems interested in the food we eat but when we offer it to him he makes a disgusted face and rejects it.
Playtime: We are about to sadly retire the jumper and exersaucer because Jackson no longer is satisfied with being restrained and is enjoying his freedom too much. Still fascinated with straws, my earlobes, shiny jewelry, doggie door, smoke alarm, screws, and now the fireplace that I cannot seem to barricade well enough to keep him out of. He loves to laugh and be tickled, play peek a boo with froggie. Froggie is still his best friend but he really wants Cooper and Charlie to be his BF, they still resist Jackson's advance for friendship. He still claps all the time, it always makes me feel good when he does it after I have finished singing him a song.
Talking: Mainly "Da-Da" sounds, I swear he said DOG the other day, but who knows. He loves those little guys.
Mobility: Crawling everywhere and pulling up onto his feet. This has moved him up a class at church and sadly they consider him a toddler not a baby. (*tear from momma*)
Health and Wellness: He is still a very healthy guy and tough as a doornail! He still has no teeth, Ryan guesses that they will come in another month, I still love his gummy smile! He has a very hard head to take all the falls he has had from trying to stand. He is wearing 12-18 month size clothes and seems to be busting out of the 12 month size already.
Outings: We went to Houston to visit with Jackson's future TAMU roommate, Cole (who is still in utero), Jenny and Lucas Fried are great friends of ours and Ryan and Lucas were roommates at TAMU and high school best friends. We have been to Waco a lot to play with cousins and outings with YA-YA!
**Ryan tried to bond with him making stuff in the garage and when he screwed some wood together Jackson made the most terrifying scream/cry I had ever heard, so we will hold of on the father/son construction team for now.
Just to think I will be planning his 1 year birthday so very soon makes me super sad, but we couldn't be luckier to have this little guy making our lives better one day at a time.

Just his size!
I am always impressed by my husbands skills and this last project was no exception. He recently got an outdoor project book for $1 and while flipping through it found a design for a children's picnic table. Without any planning he realized he had enough wood and supplies in our garage so he whipped up this very table in just 1 1/2 hours in the back yard for Jackson! I love my handy husband!

Ryan's 1st Fathers Day!
Happy Fathers Day to a wonderful father, husband, and man. Jackson got his dad an Air Hammer from Lowe's, a hamburger stuffer for the grill, and a Shutterfly book of pics of father and son together. We went to church, came home for lunch and a nap, and then for dinner went to Olive Garden- Ryan's choice.
This is my first fathers day without my own father here on earth. I miss him so much but it is times like these that I like to remember all our wonderful times together. Love you dad.

A week of firsts
Jackson was busy learning new tricks this week that included claping his hands, crawling everywhere, and pulling up to his knees on everything! All these things happened within a day of each other and he was so proud of himself. It is amazing to watch him learn and grow literally daily.
It all started with this...
then he cried cause he couldn't get back down, but everyday he got better and more confident
He also learned to clap his hands this week, but all my pictures of that are blurry action shots.

This made us very nervous so we made sure to lower the crib mattress,
but nap times have become more difficult.
Ya-Ya got him some designer denim diapers that are just too cute to watch him crawl around in.
He is now officially on the go and can crawl anywhere his heart desires :)

Water Baby
Jackson got his first outdoor pool experience this weekend, it really is like being in a colder bigger bathtub so he loved it, we look forward to getting him into a real pool soon.

Universal Studios Orlando
Ryan and I got to go on our first overnight vacation without Jackson with his dental office and it was wonderful. I was very emotional on the plane ride to Florida about leaving him but once we got to the park I was ready to party! We stayed at the Hard Rock hotel which was on the US properties and we could walk or take a water taxi to the parks at anytime. We also had fast passes which I highly recommend and were able to go to the front of the line of most every ride, we were spoiled! Harry Potter world was amazing and by far my favorite thing to walk thru daily! I cannot wait till we can take our children back there one day when they no longer need naps or strollers!
It was so good to see this face when I got home and here is a picture of his souvenir from our trip.
The new Harry Potter simulation ride (all indoor)
Ryan tries Harry Potter butterbeer.
We also saw blue man group for the first time at the park and we loved it. Although it is very hard to describe we would recommend it to all families that can handle 2 hours of loud music and strobe lights! Very family friendly and surprisingly funny!
