La Torretta Resort

This weekend we went to Lake Conroe La Torretta Resort for some family fun. It was a bit cold and since we made Jackson skip his nap to play more we cut the trip short. Maybe next year...

 

 

 

 

May 4

Jackson and Campbell had a fun day with Ya-ya while Ryan and I went to

Houston for our friend Jaimie's wedding. A great day was had by all!

Franklin Animal Safari Drive Thru



We spent the morning 45 minutes away from CS and drove through an Animal Safari.  We fed, Lamas, Camels, Zebras, Buffalo, Deer, Pigs, Sheep and one huge bull.  We all were a little scared at times. Ryan was more scared for my car.

We quickly told him no more kissing the animals after I got this shot.

Jackson got to go to his 2nd Aggie football event, and we only took him because tickets were $5.

Here are the cousins at Ryan's 30th Birthday family dinner at Cheesecake Factory in Houston.

Today we celebrated Stephanie and her soon to be little girl, Sutton, with a baby shower!

Ryan replaced some of our backyard fence this weekend and Jackson was excited to "help". I love that I am going to have so many handy guys around the house in a few years!

Ryan's 30th Birthday

We celebrated Ryan's big day with a cake from Cake Junkie.  It was an Amaretto Cake, Bavarian cream filling with chocolate icing.  We had lunch at work with his staff from CJ's BBQ and then dinner with Jackson at Red Lobster.  We gave him a fancy knife for the kitchen from Williams Sonoma.  This weekend we will go to Houston for dinner with his family.

Nursery in Progress

In preparation for Weston's arrival we painted Jackson's nursery to give it a new look.  I am decorating with navy and orange so we can use the same bedding. 

I spent many hours cutting and tying fabric to make this shag rug and painted this nightstand from a garage sale find. 

 

We ordered this name decal from Etsy to hang over his crib.

6 Years Together

We have made it to our 6 year anniversary.  To celebrate we ate dinner at Luigi's and went to the movies to see The Crood's, an animated cartoon.  Here is a flashback to how great we looked at our wedding.  It was a wonderful night to remember where we have been and where our family is headed.
